2009 Columbia Valley Olivia's Blend Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Olivia Blend is a combination of our two best barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon.  The Tonnellerie Sylvain Barrel contained Old Vine Bacchus Vineyard Block 9 Cab and the Tonnellerie Bossuet barrel aged the extended macerated Dionysus Vineyard Block 11 Cabernet Sauvignon.  I call it our best Cab, Denise calls it Batchelor’s Button on steroids.  This is a dense and rich Cabernet Sauvignon with dark red currant flavor, earth, and eucalyptus and sage spice notes.  The mid-palette is textured and the tannins are lush, long, and polished.  Big and suitable for aging.
