Fat Duck Inn Winemaker Dinner in Walla Walla on Saturday June 8, 2013

Denise Isenhower and I are excited to have a co-winemaker dinner at the Fat Duck Inn here in Walla Walla.  You are invited to come have an excellent five course dinner, paired with our wines, with us.  We have loved many dinners at the Fat Duck Inn and early June is a beautiful time to visit and enjoy everything Walla Walla has to offer (wine, cuisine, golf, hiking, cycling, shopping, …) so come join us!  I will talk way too much about how to make wild yeast fermented wines and way too much about farming in my vineyard.  Denise on the other hand will be much more engaging and interesting.

Please RSVP the Fat Duck Inn by calling 1.888.526.8718 or emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Saturday June 22, Celebrate Walla Walla Southside Winery Dinner with Isenhower Cellars, Dusted Valley, Balboa & Chef Andrae Bopp

Celebrate Walla Walla is a three day celebration of Walla Walla wines, featuring Cabernet Sauvignon!  There are many wine tastings, winemaker dinners, and other events over the three days.  With our friends at Dusted Valley Winery & Balboa Winery we’ve joined forces with Chef Andrae Bopp (owner of the eponymous Andrae’s Kitchen) to create a carnivore's winemaker dinner.
The courses are:
  1. Smoked Trout Croque Monsieur with Pickled Shallot and Caperberry paired with 2012 Dusted Valley Rosé
  2. Arugula Salad with Quail Confit, Seared Duck Breast and Cherry Vinaigrette paired with 2011 Isenhower Cellars Yakima Valley Sangiovese
  3. Skirt Steak 2-ways, Grilled with Roasted Tomato and Chimichurri/ Grilled with Plum Salsa and a Corn Sopa paired with 2010 Balboa Cabernet Sauvignon and 2011 Isenhower Cellars À Bloc Malbec
  4. Crispy Pork Belly with Celeriac and Apple Slaw paired with 2010 Dusted Valley Tall Tales Syrah
  5. Braised Lamb Shank Ragout with Crispy Gnocchi paired with 2009 Balboa Mith
The dinner is $100 per person and will be held at Balboa Winery.  Tickets are on sale through the Walla Walla Wine web site.  Only 20 seats are available for this night.  This is a great opportunity to hear three winemakers brag about their wines and spend a lovely night on the Southside of Walla Walla.
